I've seen a lot of wild things in that race, but never a fight. I remember Tristan Dupuis, who was an ASA regular at the time, entered a car for 2 or 3 years. It wasn't much to look at, but it was really fast. Its kind of a shame to see the car count drop off the last 2 years, but understandable considering how the economy has been.

I think it's more than the economy; cars are of a better quality and until the shenanigans of the 00 car, same for the driving. I recall that Dupuis car; it was a hoot, a fast running hoot. Now for this race, the ante has been upped. low buck guys need not show up. Sound familiar?

I stood way on top with a spotter who said that the Jeffersonville Speedrome cars used to really pad the car count, but not the last two years. You could count on up to 30 cars being from the KY/IN region. You could also pick them out of the crowd. :2:

Had the track thrown a yellow when the 00 slowed down this might have been avoided. I'd not mind if the track banned the 06 and the 00 for the 2010 season, even though car counts are suffering at Salem in all divisions, as we open wheel fans already know.

Tin tops yes. But often many of those so-called tin tops end up being open wheel cars too.

Missed you and Kelly, Mike.

Danny,

Kelly and I looked for you but didn't see you. We got there just prior to the start so we were down close to the front. I was hoping to see you one last time before old man winter arrives. Guess we will have to wait until spring and Section A opens up at the burg. Be safe and button up that coat.

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

yes i think the 00 was trying to get a caution and not go a lap down..hard to belive barnes didnt lead a lap until 174...i also think the 00 and 06 would have been in victory lane
