Never had the Money? who do you think runs the 1000 motors? Can anybody say ERC. If they put out the same hp then why should the people with 1200's have to buy new motors. Years ago amsa raced all over the midwest. (Ky oh Ill In Tn ) You know what people complaied about? How much they had to travel, go figure. Does anybody remember the mini-sprint group that ran at Bloomington for a whole yr. 1k to win guaranted ? If I remember right the guy lost his house over it.
amsa weighed cars all season and it was seldom the lightest car that won the race, I know weight = horsepower, but if you cant hook up the car it does not matter how light you are. I hope the new group works. More money is good amsa has been running for the same money for as long as I can remember.
Jt and the rest of the people who run asma make no money off of a show, they do it for the love of the sport. I just hope that this does not set them back to 14 or 15 cars trying to put on a show. Time will tell. As far as the track size, some of the better racing I ever saw was a Bardstown Ky, High banked 3/8, Allmost looked like the outlaws at Eldora.
