To the Rutz family,
I am so sorry to hear about Travis. If you need prayer or to talk or a good listener please call me My Name is Jackie Apted. My #is 513-673-3368. I pray you find comfort in this scripture found in the book of John.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

To the Rutz Family, you are in our Thoughts and Prayers Daily. Travis, you are fighting one heck of a Fight. KEEP FIGHTING Young Man! When Mom and Dad read you these messages from all over the World, KNOW that we are all with you in this fight. Although the "package" that carries your Spirit and Soul is damaged right now, we all know that your Spirit and Soul are strong. Your strength is an inspiration to all of us that are mere mortals right now.

We wish you the Very Best.

The CGR Family...

Thank you very much for another update. During difficult times, IOW folks are great at sending thoughts and prayers. This board is like a great big family. We complain and bicker at times but we rally around the ones who need help. I hope you are feeling some comfort knowing that so many people are praying for Travis and a complete recovery. Keep the faith.

Statement : Thursday October 1st 2009 4:45pm :

From Doug

Today was another long day with little results but as our daytime nurse Tina just told us that was 12 good hours. The doctors and nurses here are just amazing if this had to happen anywhere at least we are lucky to be here. Since there is not to much to report today because Trav is still coming off the drugs that keep you in a coma I want to thank some very special people to us. Richard and big Travis were on the first plane out of Alberta when they found out and are still here. Shane and Brent came on the plane Kevin Rudeen setup for us which by the way, Kathy was here 5 hours after I made the worst phone call of my life. Toni & Kim you have been such great friends. Uncle Ed you are my crutch, your the strong one we all need. Brian and Janet thanks so much for coming and bringing Lisa and Kenny. All the people back home keeping everyone informed, Mikala for all your doing. Pat Beck thank you so much for everything you have done for Trav. I sure hope you don’t need your toter-home anytime soon. Randy Hannigan thanks for coming and see Trav and bringing Helmets for His collection. It sits proudly with his helmet he got from Paul Mcmann. Trav was so proud of it when Paul gave it to him. Also thanks Boner for driving us around since Im lost pretty much all time. There are to many people to list I don’t want to miss anyone so just know Kathy and I can never thank ALL of you for the unreal support. The racing family is like no other .Keep thinking of Trav.

Thank you for the updates on Travis. A day hasn't gone by that I haven't been asked on more than one ocassion if I have heard anything new about his condition. Stay strong and have patience. Healing takes time.

Afternoon Everybody -

So here's what we have going at the moment. Doug just got off the phone with Wayne Edson, who informed him that everything is status quo at the moment, and they don't expect much to change anytime soon. Doug relayed that updates will be slow over the next 72 ish hours. So if you don't read much on here health wise, don't panic.

Also from the fam, they've started clearing out the room a bit, meaning some of the folks who we've been getting updates from are going to be away from the situation. We cannot thank everyone who's provided us with updates enough. You are truly godsends. (Sidenote - Most who are updating us are innundated with calls. Lighten their load (and save them a few bucks on their phone bill) by using this site for updates)

Kenny, Shane and Brent will be joining Robert Ballou tonight at Lawrenceburg for a pass the hat event. Thanks Robert for organizing. Don't forget pass the hat events are going on this weekend at Willamette Speedway in Oregon and Silver Dollar Speedway in California. The Washington Quarter Midget Association is taking get well decals for Travis that will be available for a donation at their event this weekend too.

Lastly...some thank yous...to everyone who has visited the site (closing in on 25,000 as of this writing). To everyone who's signed the guestbook (600+ and counting) and to the numerous people working behind the scenes to make things happen. I personally cannot thank Mikala, Speedmart, Advanced Sprint Car, Digital FX, Firedown Graphics, Signmart, Lara and everyone else who's names I might be forgetting right now for everything they've done. We've got a long road ahead, but through the power of our positive prayers and thoughts, we can help Travis fight for his health.
