The story that developed during this race was "Would the Fitzpatrick high wire act last long enough for the checker to fall? Or would he bobble and fall prey to the two more experienced drivers that were glued to him, for the last half of the race?" You couldn't help but root for the kid. He almost pulled it off. He survived the first mistake he made, but Brady and BC both seized the opportunity, when it presented it's self the second time. The track was excellent (when isn't it?) and the race was so great that when giving the last report to Hoover, I said that I had no clue who had finished past 4th. You just couldn't take your eyes off of the top three cars. There were many laps that you could have literally thrown a blanket over Blake, Brady and BC. They went at it tooth-and-nail, straight up and clean. All three deserved to win. Brady's enthusiasm in victory lane showed he realized that he won a really great one, on this night. Blake has showed here and another great track, that his day is coming and that day will be soon.

WOW!

Jerry

I likewise would like to say it was one of the most exciting features to watch this year. I ask that we not forget that Ryan Kaplan did a good job of leading the first half of the race before encountering a lapped car to end a good run for the kid from California. Brady should feel good about finishing in front of two very good cars and deserved the win....WOW what a barnburner...Indiana wingless sprintcar racing, show me something better.........yeah, didn't think so!

AMAZING racing to say the least. Just goes to show, with good drivers, you don't have too block or pull a dirty slide job to pass and make the racing good. Hope the Cummins crew can find the funds to get a car back together for next weekend. Another great night at The Class Track...but what other kind of night is there?

Folks should expect to hear a lot from both Fitzpatrick brothers over the next several years. 14 year old Braylon won the micro feature Friday night at Morgan County.

That was the best finish I've ever seen at Haubstadt. Since I wasn't there that night I asked a couple of people if it was as good a finish as the last race that Levi won and they said yes pretty much. Congrats to Short on a well deserved win! Fitz had it won just a couple mistakes took it away but Short and BC were close enough to take advantage. And yes Kaplan did a great job but I could tell that Fitz was faster and was going to get him. Not really sure how Kaplan's incident happened I just looked over and saw him completely in the air. Very lucky he didn't flip.

And Stanbrough, damn just damn!

Jack Slash was in the house so hopefully he'll have some video highlights soon.
