Mercer used to occasionally run w/o wing. I went to one of those shows in August of 07. Rod George pretty much ran away with it. Charles Holben was second and Arnold Kent was third in a great race with Mike Miller.
George likes his wing though, so I suspect he will be at PPMS. But, he does know his way around Mercer and the PPMS show is only paying $2500 to win.
