I hope the Fans and Drivers are on board for this Illinois Sprint Week. I for one would love to see this as an annual event. Then there may not be as many conflicts with other shows.

Something for everyone concerned to remember, the more tracks and dates you add, the more cooperation it takes to make it happen. ISW is unique from Indiana's because most of the ISW tracks do not run sprint cars on a regular basis. Boswell is Indiana's exception. So to get 4 out of 6 tracks to put sprints on the schedule was a big feat in it's self, not to mention getting all 6 with no other conflicts in the same week. So with that said, it was either run it next week or wait another year....or late in the fall which wasn't much of an option because of track closures in general. Don Hammer has done a great job creating something that was only being discussed 7 months ago.
My opinion only; too much sprint car racing is better than not enough. We were in that boat a year ago.

We're doing the full week. Actually hitting a late model race in KY tomorrow night on the way. Then the POWRI midgets at Quincy on Sunday. Really looking forward to this series. Hopefully the weather is good to us. Just think, what if this takes off, continues to grow and after a couple years is a great series like Indiana Sprint Week. More racing for the fans, better payouts for the racers and a big show for the promoters. I could get used to that.

Sounds like a fun week. I wish they could come up north to Lasalle sometime.
