Looks like the usual lousy Outlaw TV race. They've consulted with Helfrich on how to work the track in the past and must have forgotten everything he told them. Tom

The track was crispy before the crates even hit it. It was blacked over after the Outlaw hot laps.
It was also an unusual format. The Outlaws and crates alternated heat races. I'll also say a huge Thank You to Johnny Gibson. At the end of the four wide parade, when they have everyone stand up, he finished by asking everyone to sit back down so that everyone could see (very necessary when dealing with a NASCAR crowd). And I'll be damned, they all sat down. I wish more track announcers would include that little bit of info. Made the race a hell of lot more enjoyable. There was also a very respectful remembrance of Larry Rice and that the entire sprint car family had suffered a loss. VMS tomorrow night and that track will NOT be blacked over. Only thing missing is some of the Posse, but they've got the Keystone Cup going on, so I didn't expect to see any of them. Only Daryn Pittman came down.
