I understand you question about pushing off from the infield, the problem with that is getting all the cars in the infield, and we really don't have a big enough area to fit them in out of harms way. As far as making the exit at our track, all you need to do is swing low on the backstretch to make the turn. If you hug the wall or stay high it tough for sprints. I like qualifying for special show only, pill draws and heat races is soooooooo much more exciting. I love to watch the guys move from back to front it 1 lap.
Take care, Dave

North Vernon did this a few years ago, they pushed a car into the infield and while the qualifying car was on its last qualifying lap they pushed the next car off from a crossover from turn three to one to get started. I don't think the Burg is set up like this. Suppose they could drop a car into the infield after car started first lap and push this car off after previous car completed its first lap. Not sure how much time this would save, might be more interesting to see this orchestrated. As for group qualifying versus single car qualifying. One car on the track balls out sounds pretty impressive to me. One car, every movement of the loud pedal amplified to the fans in the stands(or the tailgaters in the parking lot) When they lift, you know it, and if they screw up nooone else gets caught up in it.

I can see both sides of the coin. From one aspect, yes its micros but at Logansport they send a car out and when that car gets in between 1 and 2 the next car takes off so you have basically 2 qualifying at a time. One on the front stretch and 1 on the back stretch. At the same time when I go to a sprint car show I love watching qualifying 1 car at a time because you can really listen to who is on the throttle and who is ***** footin with it.Im good with it either way.As far as wearing the track out doing one at a time these are dirt tracks. You learn to race on a heavy, slick or whatever track. That is just a spectator question which I realise the person that asked is I think a spectator. And micros also have starters versus none for a sprint car.You half to get the push trucks out of harms way safely in order to do it 2 at a time like I said before.I guess after I think about it I have no clue why I replied or put my 2 centss into this.Sorry.
