There are a segment of trouble makers in our sport and none I am aware of are invited or have put in for a license. We are putting this together for enjoyment for people that love the sport. Anyone who has committed to the Series is welcome to a rule book and those that have taken licenses already have rule books, drivers names, and payoff breakdown. I spend everyday working on this Series so it is far from being disorganized. Scheduling is my big battle at this time. If you think an endeavor like this is pleasant, I would be glad to let you try doing it. As you know personally I am just an old addicted racer that just enjoys being aroung the sport and most people in the sport. Sam Stockon Sr.

Al, You of all people know from the MSCS experience that rules will be black and white and their will be no variation during the summer.
The only thing is if one car runs away with all the races and it is determined by the SCORA group that he has out dollared the competition, there may be a question. At this time I have 32 committed racers and I am slow on getting a rule book printed till am sure on all items. The motor rule is STEEL BLOCK. No other specs or weight rule. I did this to try to give the racers in our area a chance to use their equipment without much extra cost. Carbs are fine, but no gasoline, alky only. The goup has just voted to run the DT3 as a right rear tire. This was the biggest hold up on finishing the rule book. Also, if a car is equiped with cockpit adjustments, they must be inoperable when racing. Most other rules will be the normal Sprint Car Rules. I should have printed rule books by the Indy Expo on January 31. We have Danville as our home track and I am working on a schedule with Joe Spiker at this time. Scheduling is going slower than I expected, but it looks as I write this that we will have a show at Terre Haute and one at Scottsburg, Indiana in the middle of July at there fair. Any help you might be able to give me on the Illinois tracks would be appreciated. I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
If you are interested in running with us send me your mailing address, email address, phone number. Hopefully we can have a fun group and enjoy our ediction. Thanks, Sam
The way I read this...it will be up to the discretion of the SCORA group to determine if a team has "out dollared" the competition.
Sorry Dude, but that ain't "black and white", or "set in stone". And if SCORA determines that someone has "out dollared", then what....you get sent home?..or just slow down a little? I am seeing a lot of gray area here.
Money has taken the fun out of most forms of motorsports. And without a concrete set of rules it could do the same to this series.
I will say it again, Sam...the only calls that a sanctioning body should make at the track involve incidents on the track. Who gets their position back...and who goes to the pits. The rule book should take care of everything else.
Again...these are just my opinions...the first post (Steve) asked for opinions.
