Sure it looks good, but it takes alot more than a website to actually run a successful racing organization!

Great things have been happening in UMRA TQ's for going on 49 years. UMRA has grown tremendously in the last few years and is one of the most respected TQ organizations in the country!

I agree that they are well respected in most circles. Some folks just want to try something different. What is so bad about that?

Hey, Violin...

This thread is about the MTQRL, so if you want to praise another group, start a new thread. As was said, some people want something different and now they have an option. I don't see anything wrong with that!

Lastly, I don't think I caught your name. What was it?

Shawn.
Is your last name Frazier? Who is nowings4me? Who is quickchange? How about midgetracer?
Seems like several folks on this thread are not signing their names.

Mine's JIM MORRISON

One final thought. Since this is a Midwest TQ site and should only promote that group, I presume the same courtesy will be given when a UMRA thread gets started and no negative comments will be posted by this group.
Personally, I believe there is much to be gained by a free and open debate and exchange of ideas. Comments should be constructive. Both of these groups have merit.

Hope to make a couple of races at each this year.

Jim

Whether you know my name or not makes no difference. This thread was started by someone saying the website had been updated. Everyone else posted nice, positive things until someone else began negatives. (read other MTQRL post, and this one) Everyone has their own opinion on things, sorry yours isn't the same as mine. I don't bash anyone on any message board. Yes, it takes more than a racing website to make a successful series, but how the Frechette family spends their time and money is no concern to anyone but them. If folks don't agree with what they are doing, just ignore it. They didn't come knocking down anyone's door to force anything on anyone.

As some else said my name is not important. It is an exchange of ideas! Shawn you should get your facts straight on how and why the Ferchettes are doing what they are doing?

I appreciate what they are doing for TQ Midget Racing. They've been involved with the sport for a few years and most importantly, they're race fans. They have an idea and they're going for it. They're investing their time and money into a sport where not a lot of people are willing to do these days. As a race fan, I am thankful for that. :thumb

Again Shawn get your facts straight. There are alot of people that have been working hard for TQ racing in at the very least the last 10 years. Being race fans are great but you have to know racing, not just sit in the stands and say they can do it better.
