Someone was talking about Anderson Speedway haveing a sister track, back in the woods in a town somewhere around Anderson. I think i read about it on here.

A couple of years ago I went back behind the truck dock and sure enough you can still see the outline of the track. You need to go while the weeds are down so you don't have to wade through the brush.
YOU CAN WALK AROUND HALF OF IT IN THE WINTER OR EARLY SPRING!!!!! THE BANKS AND WALL IS STILL THERE!!!!!!!!!!!:applaud:

I believe that it is the old R & L Carriers dock. If you remember where the old radio station was it is the building to the west of there. PM me and I will see if I can meet up with you and we could do a tour together if you like.

Devin,

If we can't work this out I would be happy to schedule something for a Saturday or Sunday and I could pick you up and we could take a look. Be sure to wear boots cause it will be rather dirty for sure. Let me know.

I found the track on Google earth. You can see the track (half) and exactly how to get there. It is even marked, just enter Armscamp Speedway and it will take you right too it.

Alexandria, IN

40.278530, -85.687241+40° 16' 42.71", -85° 41' 14.07"

Started as 1/5th dirt midget track. Highly popular. Built 1940-41. First race 7-12-41. Last race 1958 on concrete track. 1/5th dirt track turn can be noticed in the bottom of the infield of 1/4 mile concrete track. Great article in OPEN WHEEL Vintage Views November 1999 by Ron Lemasters Sr.
