Here is how I would like to see it played out.. Get a list of qualified drivers and have a box for each one. The way you vote is by inserting a dollar, 1 dollar = 1 vote if you want to put a $100 dollars or votes for your favorite have at it and the end of the allotted time, the driver(s) with the most $=votes gets in the show. All of the votes for all of the drivers go into the purse to be paid to the Owner/Drivers.

Hope that made sense ..

It's really not that hard to create a "bot" that will continue to vote even if someone isn't at the computer. I believe now the only fair thing to do is take the winner from the first round and the winner from the second round. Those two polls are probably the only ones to be accurate. This morning at 6 am Shane Cottle had 11% with 115,000 votes. Now Shane has 21% at 160,000 votes, so if you do the math, it means Shane accumulated 21,300 votes in the past 11 hours. You can't be honest and say that this was clear and fair voting.

So whoever has the most change in there pocket gets to race regardless of how good you are or what you have accomplished. If this is the way the votes are counted how about using the money for a children's charity in the name of the winner.

Actually, they do a version of this at some of the micro races on the west coast and it does a great job of raising the purses. They auction off drivers for the feature and if memory serves me they do a 50/50 deal with the winning bidder.

Raises the purse and gets $$ to the racers putting on the show and gives the fans a more "vested" interest in the race.

Maybe not a great solution but just putting it out there...

Jerry, I agree if we all quit racing and and took all that we put in to this sport and donated it to a children's charity this world would be a better place.

Best of luck to you and Josh in 09

See how easy it is for things to get out of hand. A simple poll, you'd think this was an ******** in Minn. or something.
