It is Dave Steele Carb Night Classic Race Day! Night 3 of the Week of Indy!
Lucas Oil Raceway plays host to the Dave Steele Carb Night Classic is chock full of great racing action with 3 open wheel racing divisions. Headlining the program is the USAC Racing Silver Crown Champ Car Series, which has 23 entries scheduled for the event. This year’s “Dave Steele Carb Night Classic” features an abundance of bonuses, including an extra $19,000 in lap money generously donated by several sponsors. Among the perks are that every Silver Crown driver will have their free pit pass covered for the event.* Additionally, the night gets started with a bang with the driver recording fast time set to take home a $1000 bonus. The largest potential prize is slated for the main event in which an opportunity will be presented to the drivers starting in the first two rows of the Silver Crown 100-lapper.* The option will be given to the pole winner first.* He or she can elect to start from the tail of the field.* If that driver can win the race, the driver will receive a $10,000 bonus tacked onto their winnings for the evening.* If the pole sitter declines, the option will be presented to the driver starting 2nd, then 3rd and then 4th. Also on the card are the USF2000 Series series and Indy Pro 2000 Championship running their Road to Indy events that are one of the many stepping stones on the way to potentially racing the NTT IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Things are shaping up to be fantastic here at LOR to wrap up the Week of Indy. We want to thank everyone who has supported us the past 2 evenings and will this evening! All of us at Track Enterprises greatly appreciate it!
