With the number of cars in the pits at Gas City and Kokomo I do not get the decline you speak of, Kokomos car count has picked up from the past as Gas City has not declined in my opinion, Bloomington does not seem to have a problem drawing cars for there shows. From the Saturday night counts at Lawrenceburg, Paragon and Putnumville the count looks good. Things are hard and more than likely going to get worse before it gets better, we may have to cut back as will others but going to a 360 does not appeal to us at all. (Nothing against 360) I believe the slow down may help as people are going to stay closer to home rather than go to a cup race or travel away from home, as far as car owners hopefully we will all survive. I think the 360 thing has come up before and just like before we are not interested. :headbang

Do many guys run a 360 at our local non wing tracks like Gas City or Kokomo? Just curious if many did.

Their are a few guys running motors other than 410's. I believe Chase Stockton used to run a 372. I'm sure some others are running motors other than 410's for whatever the reason. I'm pretty sure the great T Hines used to run a 360 on the short tracks, when he was running for Kunz/Wiloghby(sp??). Not anymore though...

You better take care of me, Lord. If you don't you're gonna have me on your hands.

"it takes more room and time to maintain a wing car"

Hummm They are both sprint cars...how is maintining one different than the other? They both have the same parts just 1 has a wing on it & may take 10 more minutes to look over.

chris i was talking more in strain or wear and tear cost, I dont know of anyone that can run a LM engine as long or as hard as a non wing engine, LM lock down just like the wing cars is what i meant...

I run a 388c.i.d

Posted via Mobile Device Maybe someone should bring a V6 out again and show everyone that you dont need all that fuel eating, tire shredding horsepower to win races !

Thats great but they last about six races instead of 20

Chuck, stating a V6 probably cost more and I doubt would stand a chance in the WOO

Posted via Mobile Device Actually the V6s will last all season plus the Little 500 without freshening. I was referring to non wing racing
