There are plenty of tracks scattered through middle America that would make logistical sense. Tougher than it sounds to get races scheduled, I know, but it would certainly be a step in the right direction towards USAC being a truly national sanctioning body.
WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR THERE WILL BE A LOT OF CLOSED TRACKS! LESS MONEY LESS FANS! HOW DO THEY RACE SPRINTS CARS IN INDIANA FOR $1000 TO $1300 TO WIN?????????????:checkered:

I don't care that you raced way back when the wheels were square, the purses have remained the same while the costs have soared. It didn't cost thousands to cross the country when you raced, but it does now. And they are racing for no more money than they were in the 70s. That IS a serious issue, even if YOU refuse to acknowledge it. Nobody said they are looking to make money, they just need to be able to afford to do it. It's a simple premise. Try to understand it, would ya?

Basically what Dean is trying to say is the "Loss factor" has greatly increased since the purses have not changed. As in the amount of money you loose by racing.

Thanks AJ for bringing it down to his level. It's obvious he's not the brightest bulb in the tree.
