very few of the neckcar shows have sold out for the last few years, however, i wouldn't describe it quite yet as a ghost town.

I think the NASCAR season is too long and too redundant. I would propose a complete change in format too... some ideas that should be considered :-)
- Knock a few weeks off: Change schedule to 23 regular season and 5 "chase" races - The 10 race 'playoff' is too long to keep the attention of the fans - Don't repeat any track in the regular season and only repeat the classics in the last 5 (i.e. Daytona, Bristol, etc.) - Run a road course in the 'Chase' - Finish the 'Chase' at Daytona - Include 2-3 sprint type/short track shows (qualify (Top 10 get times back), race 4 C Mains, 2 'B' Mains, and a 100 lap feature) Im sure that this could be done in the same amount of time it takes to run 600 tedious laps - Add a dirt track (Like ARCA :-)) - Do away with a top 35 lock, force everyone to qualify on time. Basically force every team to show up ready to race at every race. This will add a level of interest to fans as every race will be different, it will also draw more sponsors as the fiscal responsibility will be less. I guarantee less naps |

I live in the Charlotte area- and it still is hit or miss on finding a gas station with GAS. Its about $3.77 a gallon and you can only get regular gas at most of the stations. All the higher grades are out. There is a race here this week and it should be interesting to see how that goes. I think there will be alot of empy seats- I know mine will be.

I think they have his you know whats in a vise under those clothes. He used to rebel against Nascar and now every thing they do he says is the right decision by Nascar.

Is it too soon for me to report empty seat(s) at Charlotte and that I or a family member is likely to fall asleep while watching? I just haven't been quick enough to win this weekly race to the keyboard. At my age, I could use a little headstart. :wink
Later, I will return and join others here in reporting in great detail (especially the negative stuff) about the race we didn't attend and/or fell asleep watching. :O: |
