if gentleman jim siner wasnt such a nice guy im sure loyet would have been in some trouble. the fans on the backstretch were booing the heck out of loyet. thats not the way to win races or gain respect from the racers or racefans. whats really sad is he made a couple really good slide jobs where he timed it perfectly and slide in front of siner with siner doing the crossover and passing him back. that stuff was awesome. but unfortunetly the last one he did he hit siner pretty hard. dont know if it knocked the toe out of siners car or what but the hit definetly ended his chance. i lost a lot of respect for the entire loyet team.

I sure didn't see any "dirty driving" there. Agreesive sure. Gee, maybe we should just put each car on the track separately and time them. Its why we call it racin.

By your avatar I can see u may be a bit partial, and that is fine. I think the kid can drive the heck out of a race car, and I agree that the clean slide jobs made for one amazing race especially when they got into trafic. But with that being said, there were a couple of times where loyet got in way too hard on the bottom side and you could tell there wasnt room...one of which when he hit the 2nd place guy. If he was getting boo'd by the fans, I'd say it probably wasn't the cleanest race...

Loyett in the interview after the race, said he lost brakes halfway through. I'll give him a lot of credit for running as well as he did.

Do you really think he lost his brakes or was he trying to make an excuse for his bad slider? I'll take the later, as if his brakes were out I think he'd have a hard time doing all those sliders on a 1/5 mile track.

Still, it was as exciting as it gets. You gotta love midgets, they ROCK!

It's easy to look like I know what I am doing when you have a race that was as good as that. I don't know if I've seen a better race than that all year long anywhere...

I finally went back and counted the number of passes for the lead, and it was 22 total. Two were called back due to yellow flags, but that means there were 20 complete passes for the lead in a 30 lap race on a 1/5 mile racetrack. That is as much action as you can cram into one midget race.

Oh, and if you haven't bothered to check out the Micro sprint clip for whatever reason, watch Dereck King's beautiful 4th to 1st move that won him the 20 lap event, and secured his 2nd straight POWRi Micro Sprint title. Also, this race was not decided until the final few feet as Austin Brown made a last lap charge that almost stole the victory away from King. Check it out...

Tune back in for more POWRi highlights from Jacksonville on Friday night. Thanks for watching. Sincerely,
