After waking up to beautiful sunrise pink which usually not a good sign from the weather folklore, I knew better and was determined to take that great start and have a great day, Well it started that way, Kisses from the dogs, Cup of Joe, Take meds including new one doc warned me could cause reflux.
Get some stuff done around the house, Decide Im going to fathers day shop, Get to my car and find the rear window dropped as I had it propped up with wood. Its ok, its a five minute job to pull the door panel, This time Im going to leave the panel off, Get some gorilla glue and that thing will stay up till I get the spare $$ to fix it proper. Off comes the panel, Up goes the window, Just get the piece of wood where I want it and my hand slips. Hits the bare edge of sheet metal on the inner door structure and slices my wrist wide open

Good one Chuck, I stand up, Dripping all over the place, About this time the acid reflux kicks in full force and feels like a bic lighter in my throat. Im trying to figure how to get in the condo without bleeding all over my clothes and the carpet and my keys are in my right pocket

, I remember the garage is still open so I go in, Just some shop rags not so clean but the getting in the house and not bleeding all over everything is solved. Get in to the sink, Get it rinse and washed off with some dish soap, Wet a dish towel and wrap the wrist and then try to open some acid reducer in one of them foil packets with basically one hand

. To be quite honest, the heartburn was the most painful, The arm was numb. Well wet towel around the arm. I reach in get my keys. Out through the garage and close the door and to the Urgent Care. Thankfully they had me in and of there with seven stitches in under a half hour, Wrapped up and prescriptions for the CVS next door. One's tylenol 4 but I don't need it right now and I won't drive on it anyway. Its ok, the wrist is so shot full of Novacain, Lydocain, or Feelnopain. I take the anti biotic and.
Off to fathers day shop! That goes well. Im on about five meds now. Three daily, The new one that causes the Reflux and now the anti biotic, so I'll grab some food to keep any more reflux from happening. Then off to the track. Get there about four, But for the second week in a row. I wait for the front gate for some reason.
This night couldn't have been scripted better, Dad, Dads Gal and my uncle with us and I got the above story to tell. Plus 26 sprints, about 9 that could win at any time, with a few USAC cailber cars too. 21 mods, about 20 hornets and 11 street stocks. and for the features the track never looked better.
Westerfeld who rode the cushion last week to absolute perfection and a blow out on the field, Appeared to be able to repeat the feat, Unlike last week, There was a couple yellows and CJ Leary in the house, Who started sixth but was second for the lap 11 restart. Leary got by on a slider in one and two on lap 13. Andretti was slipping backward and Moffatt who started 11th tonight was up to sixth. Threw a slider and cleared Andretti in one, Andretti crossed under and got up into Joss. (My view of it) Any way, The results are in, But the story isn't. Hodges moved steadily up all race to fourth? And mid race on, It looked like Able was on a rail, Just steadily going forward in a groove that worked for him. Track was great. Race was great, Always good to seen CJ run here and always fun to watch. Congrats. CJ. Sprint race done at 9:40
Was great to see Scottie Kincaid win his first after racing for years here and a couple championships without a win. Even with several yellows, It only added to the drama to if he could hold em off at each restart. From lap 12 to lap 19. Spille was all over him trying to make him make a mistake. This bit Spille in the butt as he was so concerned with Kincaid that former champ Hamiton threw a slider on Spille on the last lap for the runner up spot.
I was pretty glad that the hornets had run they're feature right after the sprint Consi in which Goodnight looked better than I ever seen him. He broke something in the front end in the feature but was flat flying in that consi. Oh, Not knocking the hornets, I just kinda zone out and coudn't tell you who did what.
The Street stocks rounded out the night with a fine feature, but sparse field, Don't know why, Its been 25 years since working on bombers, But just know they're the purest form of stock car racing but I've always loved watching basic stock cars with little more than a good cam, A couple changed springs and a roll cage. The racing's usually good too.
So features are over 10:40, A good segment of the crowd, Which was pretty good stayed for it all. About five minutes of goodnights, Happy Fathers day etc, and IM walking down the steps and the wrist, I've totally forgotten about or hadn't payed any attention too, With the seven stitches, Which earlier in the day combined with Reflux from earlier meds created quite a tizzy. IS NOW THROBBING LIKE HELL as I get in the car. IM home, One more anti biotic and there's that Tylenol 4

that relieves the pain enough to write this and now has me drowzy enough to go to sleep without pain. I sure hope this doesn't cause Reflux........................
Thanks to the Rudisells and Perfects for the $5 club night and a great night of racing, The staff for the good work and good pizza.
And all the teams and crews for showing up and putting on a show for us!
I wrote a thingy earlier this week on Fan Choices? I could have gone anywhere, Ohio Sprintweek, Amati, LPS, But local with family and a good field. HARD TO BEAT!
Tylenol 4 working good now.
Chuck zzzzzzzzzzzzz
P.S. Did mention the sunset was pink too? With a full moon behind the stands? A Club member hit the 50-50, Hope he knows that gets split a hundred and thirteen ways.......PERFECT!
