That being said, Prayers to the family and friends There is a help page available. If I can find it. I'll post it.

Wow...A driver lost his life and people are using it as an opportunity to bash promoters and tracks!!! Can't we just offer the family thoughts and prayers and save the other for later? I know my thoughts and prayers are with the family, not on who is to blame

No, Smarty pants, I came home from LBurg and seen where four people had shared it on FB. Kinda unavoidable. You make it sound like I wanted to watch a guy burn to death. Sad, Really sad.

While the actual video might be used as evidence and a learning experience in the future. Not cool to family and friends of the driver. Thats all I meant by it.

As for what happened? I got no clue and never accused anyone of anything, Just asked that you all take the most precautions you can and use the best safety equiptment you can

Statement from Southern Ohio Speedway

This past Friday we were faced with a horrific accident that has shaken the racing community to its core. It was an accident that makes you question your love and passion for the sport. What happened Friday was worse than anyone’s worst dreams, it was something that was unfathomable.

Track officials, the Minford Volunteer Fire Department who was onsite, drivers, pit crew members, medics from Life Medical Response who was also onsite, and Scioto County Sheriff Deputies onsite did everything that they could to try to help put out the fire and extract Charlie from the car. The Minford Volunteer Fire Department fire truck at the track was equipped with fire extinguishers, water in the truck, and foam in the truck that is made to handle race fuel and jet fuel since the department has the race track and the airport in its territory. Leaking fuel that streamed steadily from the cars fuel tank kept the blaze ignited and got the fire so large that it could not be controlled.
