From my experience you could have the car as perfectly "setup" as far as low mass, low cog, perfect balance, etc.... But if you aren't comfortable in the car it will not matter because you will never truly drive the car to its full potential..... I learned this the hard way this year....
I ran my car the first 6 races of the year with the seat down low to give me the most head room as possible... I was never truly comfortable in the car though, I adjusted my seat to where I was 100% comfortable and it was a world of difference as far as feel/feedback from the car and confidence.....
What car do you have out of curiosity? And how tall are you?

Oh I'm not familiar with the erc chassis, only have reference to a henchcraft as far as lightenings go.
My best advice would be get comfortable in the car and have it built higher to suit you, or sell it and pick up a larger frame.... The henchcrafts are extremely roomy. So are the hypers
