I think we've been down that road; Perris is a LOT smaller than THAT, maybe 1/2 on top of the outer wall, where Terre Haute is 1/2 on the pole, and the straights are considerably longer. I've been to both tracks and the first time I witnessed the intense fury of a screaming engine at the end of THAT's fronstretch was like something I had never experienced in all my years of going to Perris, and before that Ascot which probably measured somewhere in between PAS and THAT.
Lets cut thru the BS.....Without support from POWER-I USAC has maybe 4 teams this year?
POWER-I supporters will not be on the big tracks! The only chance to have a HUT 100 is to do it some place small when POWER-I has no schedule conflict so there will be enough cars to have a show.

And in 2012 and 2013 POWRi was running at Macon the same night as the 4 Crown, and nobody ever said a word about it either. From Indy, Macon is about the same distance away as Haubstadt, only in different directions. From some peoples perspective having 2 races on the same night many miles away from each other is the end of the world
I don't think it's the end of the world and I was thinking Powri had a race 4crown weekend the last couple of years. Even if they were off, I don't believe it would increase car count that much at Eldora.
