The gun was later to be found, was a pellet gun, but even FBI agents could not tell the difference, until it was in their hands. If I had a child wanting to grow up and become a police officer today. With the attitude of the general public, I would take them to a psychiatric ward and check them in. If things keep going the way they have we will not have law and order.

I agree. I suspect their use of REV has more to do with tax status (income, property, etc.) than any reverential application.
