What you lookin at is a 10.50 pay bump from spots 2 through 20. That is really going to help those smaller teams buy tires and fuel for the car. Hell that will pay for half of pitpass for the next week. Hooray for being mediocre here is an extra 10 bucks. Winners should get paid for there efforts not punished.

Exactly what I was thinking....let's reward the losers. Not the guy that wins...makes no sense to me....only one winner.. The rest are losers...

know really gets me is everyone is complaining about this lower to win thing field fillers as some call them need to help to race Saturdays or come back next week hell I bet some of the better teams that have to pay driver 30-50% will cuss when they win. but wont be nearly upset win they finish 8th and receive a little more, how would you like to be a hornet driver and pay 30.00 pit pass and only get 20-25 to start feature, now there a gripe if you want one.we the racers are the ones that put on the shows for fans in the stands and we need all the fans each track can get, fans might be a little upset that admission went up but hey go to the movies and get popcorn and a drink, heck going to watch racing is still a whole lot cheaper and imo a lot more entertaining, so I guess what I'm saying is, is it racing season yet! oh and another thing at least Bloomington is willing to post payouts not like another track, but maybe if they didn't we wouldt have this thread

Your right, there is only one Winner, but the rest of the field that is supporting the track needs a nice share of the pie too! It costs everyone plenty to keep a Sprint Car going, even with good Sponsors! If a track wants to pay less to Win and give the rest of the field a little more, that is a good thing!

Do you not get that it is ten bucks a spot??? So 4 of that goes to the driver and the owner gets 6. Thats not even enough to get fast food on the way home for either of them and honestly do racers really ask "Hey I live in Bloomington and it pays 150 for 12th but I am going to travel to gas city cause it pays 160 for 12th. Do the "Gas Math" doesn't really work out does it. If racing your sprint car is teetering over ten bucks I suggest getting a R.C. car and racing at JRS.

people are going to go race wherever they want. 400 gas or not everyone goes with the intention of winning not to run second but the 10.00 a spot is still better than same pay from 10-20th yes still racing for basic same purse we have for last 10-15 years and nothing gets cheaper. just be glad we still can go to a weekly track not specials only

For those of you whom may not know, Billy Puterbaugh Jr has won a lot of races and multiple track championships. I think he may understand racing economics? I appreciate your insight Billy!
