Doesn't matter. The new boys at Usuck will screw it up too! Hope they like having 15 cars at shows. What about some open wheel racing that's reasonable for the average blue collar guy again? Lot of good equipment setting in garages thanks to USAC. Too bad there's no NAMARS, AAMS, Speedrome, or CORA type racing anymore.

the only way usac can provide a full field of pavement sprints would be by using the same cars on pavement as they use on dirt/ teams cannot afford separate cars for each

Just checkin'. I was wondering, why, would USAC make owners weld spuds on top of the cage to accept a wing tree when they already have, at their disposal (so to speak) a wonderfully entertaining sprint car division. Not that there's anything wrong with winged pavement sprints. I really, really, like ALL of the pavement winged sprints. Obviously........there are many, many pavement cars that are currently parked, that could still be run, without modification, under the "old" pavement rules. I don't dislike the winged series'. (sp????) But, if you know me, and who I am,(not that I'm 'anybody') then you also know my background............
I MUST go on record to say that I DO NOT dislike wings. It's just that it is quite a bit different, regardless.......

My favorite thing in life, is..........pavement sprints.

Please keep in mind, that.......there are sprint cars, and winged sprint cars........in that order. Dirt or pavement. Does not matter. That, by the way, is a rather famous quote from a MAJOR driver. I dunno who. That's for Richie or Vukie..........

Note to USAC......Please....and I do mean please......do not further your recent history of rather shabby treatment of owners (Ignite fuel, for example). I have never been able to shed the feeling that OUR fans have been, and still are, pi$$ed off by YOUR recent actions, as of the the last 5 or 6 years or so, and I DO MEAN, across the board. When I came into this sport, I was competing against Jason Smith, who was a mechanic at the time. So was Jason McCord. That was circa 1990. I WILL NOT say ANYTHING against those men. I do not know, and I do not want to know. I will work 'wherever'. Just ask Daron, or KT, or Mike Bowman, or Tanner Swanson, or Jimmie Gardner, or Jeff Bloom, or Don Wilshe, or AJ Russell, or maybe Jason Blonde, or Carla Phillips(I tried). All I want (who doesn't) is to compete. I'm just a pawn......If I'm lucky........ Point is, I AM NOT saying anything negative about anyone.

I guess that all I am trying to convey, via this thread, is why, would USAC, make "us" put on wings when it's already out there, and wonderfully so, when 'we' already have a lot of cars/teams ready to go, if willing? I don't get it.

USAC already has 4 divisions of sprint cars on the West Coast, why not a 5th A few weeks ago, Davey Hamiliton tested a winged sprinter at the new Kern County Raceway, think there is a you tube of the test session You Tube Video
maybe not a huge stretch if USAC did run a pavement wing series in the west, they used to have a 360 pavement series.

There has already been enough owner $ pissed away because of Kevin, please say its not true, there are about 20 winged teams in the Midwest, if Kevin gets in their wallet they will be dead within 2 years!! Wait a minute, that might be the plan, destroy all competition then his 8 sprint cars, and 7 midgets, will be King!

Usac needs to fix the problems they have now, not create new ones!!!!!!!! The pavement midget series is in trouble with low car counts and the silver crown pavement side is in big trouble. So USAC, fix the problems you have now before moving on !!!!!!!!!
