yes but one thing could lead to another if the promoters get pissed about someone doing updates and try to stop that next thing you know they will stop Still Cameras and Video Cameras other the the ones that work for the track or get special permission from the track.

I understand the thread is about useing this site and free access to the track to blow your own horn and not give credit to this site.

I just don't want to see it get blew out and hurt everyone else

I never asked to get in free, or a press pass. This 50 car of the Gasmans, first year. I like the hat, it's white just out of the box! A simple man. Claytonyeley is one of mine to! The best shot is JJ @ THAT which Smokeyeley uses! I have thousand private shots! The hardest shot is to not get a press pass person in it. The thing that burns me up, is how in the world is the person on the phone, going to know what happened to driver if he pulles in? :headbang
I miss Marty!

what strikes me as funny is when Kyle & Don started thier site everybody loved them untill Don makes the mistake of being honest about getting in free (of which is between Don,Kyle & the Local Track No one else) then as Sharks smell blood people attack and rip them apart.

1.IF they are guest of the track then they should do as asked

2.as for them using this site to promote there web site this is a message board for people to post info to say they should not do that then no one else should put info about driver sites,Races, etc etc which would be silly

just my 2 cents but what the H--L do I know

I was not going to comment on this thread, but I felt I needed to make a point. I was nuetral until Don got on here and whined about how tough it is to go to 2 races a weekend without credentials. I was standing with 3 fans before Kokomo last night who went to 3 races last weekend and didn't get into a single one free. Tell me who contributed more to this sport.

I also thought it was ironic that racefan 20 was capable of getting updates without anyone getting a credential or acess to the scorers. I feel that made someone jealous, since some people make a huge deal about themselves.

By the way for the first time since 1983 I am having to pick and choose more than ever due to high fuel and health insurance costs, which is why I wasn't at Haubstadt. I will be there Sprintweek. But I still went to 2 races and my girlfriend and I both paid to get in.

Good luck with your website, see you at the races.

1) I didn't think Don got on here whining. I know how passionate he is and wanted to update us. I got the impression that he wished he didn't have to use the credentials to get in. So that he could do his Live at the track.

2) This site is the best site on the net (IMHO) that being said I think that if the powers that be had a problem with Kyle & Don they would let them know.

3)Talk2drivers is also a very good website as well and I really appreciate what these 2 guys do. I don't see them as competition to IOW

As a fan of open wheel racing I use both sites for my racing fix and Wish both the best of luck.

I think that there is some merit to some of the posts on both sides. However, can someone help me understand how sites which provide information about sprint car racing, be it results, interviews, pictures or whatever, are hurting sprint car racing? The fact that our fan base is shrinking and aging has been pointed out in numerous articles and editorials in sprint car magazines for years. Doesn't more publicity help? I can't image not going to a race because I know that there are going to be live updates. IMHO, there is absolutely no comparison between sitting in front of a computer and experiencing the excitement, the noise, the aromas, the people, the whole atmosphere of a race. I realize that the economy is bad and car counts are down, attendance is down. I'm not sure that I am willing to accept that lower attendance is caused by updates rather than the economy and this cursed weather we have been having this year. It seems to me in times like this everyone who loves sprint car racing needs to find a way to work together to help the sport.

Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I got the honor of siting to this guy at Haubstadt Saturday, we only spoke a few times but I knew I was sitting next to one of the greatest fans of this sport, he didnt say much but when he spoke I made sure I shut up and listened.
