If Putnamville would take a KISS race that would make them not running sprints 5 nights..they already don't run sprints the 2 weekends of ISW..financially its not a smart decision to take 1 kiss race and lose 3 nights of sprint car racing or bigger shows. Its rough when there are 3 Saturday night sprint car tracks. But it gives drivers more choices where to race at, and def gives fan more places to watch great races. I hope Paragon still has a great show as the best of the best should be there..but at the same time there will be 2 other great shows at the burg and LPS.
As info...Lawrenceburg is closed this Saturday June 1...they only have 2 races scheduled in June
June

15 USAC Indiana Midget Week

Reading some of this makes me miss the days (not that long ago) when promotors would actually schedule a top level class other than non-wing sprint cars. I understand that some think they will lose money, so the choice is made to just not race at all. Why not run a winged sprint show, late models, or midgets? With some effort put into promoting a race with these classes, it could turn into a nice addition to a track schedule. It would also attract fans of classes other than non-wing sprints that don't normally attend that track. If you put on a good show, those fans will be interested in coming back more often, and you won't have empty stands or no racing at all on nights when there is a big sprint show somewhere else. I went to LPS a couple years ago for the first time for a summer nationals race. I thought they put on a good show, so I've been back several times since then.
Tracks schedule against each other all the time. Just last year, Kokomo schedules the Smackdown to make the event huge and then Paragon ran that Saturday night as well. Its impossible to get them to not schedule against each other. JMO
