We had a very enjoyable weekend watching the midgets at Montpelier. Both nights were action packed. A great entertainment value for just $10. The other classes also put on a good show. Thanks to all who were responsible for making this show happen. I hope you are able to build on this and make it an annual affair. Looking forward to seeing more midget shows this year as well.

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

Anyone know who was the highest finishing mini sprint both nights?

I think there were only 2 of us with Mini Sprints. I believe Tyler Ransbottom in the #44 made the A main both nights. I didn't fare so well breaking a right front shock Friday and a rock became wedged under the throttle pedal Saturday night in the b main. It was a great time and very humbling experience for the little guy like me and I felt privileged to get to go up against some of the best teams and drivers in the country. Thank you to everyone involved with this great event!!!

There were only 2 wingless Minis entered each night. Tyler Ransbottom was the highest finishing Mini.

On the first night, he started 20th in the A Main and finished a very respectable 13th.

On the 2nd night, he raced his way from the back of the B Main up to the last transfer stop where mechanical issues ended his progress. I believe I heard he had a piece of mud stuck in the throttle.

I'm working on doing my part to up the Mini Sprint count, but little "issues" keep cropping up; if everything goes perfectly I'll be there for the 20th. More likely ol' 97 will get her first laps in on May 5th.
It seemed like the pre-season buzz was pointing towards several Mini Sprints running this year; is everybody in the same shape as me? If so, hopefully the end is sight...
