Thank God for this track and the people running it! This is my home track 4 1/2 hours away. Tony Hulman knew how to design a non-wing sprint car track when he built this place! You will see sprint cars the way they were meant to be seen...on a flat 1/2 mile without wings! Only the bravest of the brave stand out here. In the first hot lap session when they roar past the front stretch and back it into turn one, ominously leaning on the right rear, I will be voicing my approval from my perch in the old-fashioned covered grandstand that I call heaven. Some of my ashes will be spread here.
