HARF Pres. brings up the best points about Saturday Night tracks and the Origional KISS was not supposed to run sprints against one of their shows for two reasons, to not penalize a local racer for Competing in KISS and to make the KISS show one of the Must see shows at every track it competes at. Think about it, The top five guys from every track trying to come out on top with other local hot shoes sticking their noses in the mix knowing they have a good chance on their home turf.

Saturday nights can have several tracks running, Paragon, Puttnamville, Burg, Waynesfield, Tri State, Throw in a occasional Eldora, Freemont, VCS and some other whatever class USAC show that might take a few drivers out of the mix and it can be damaging to a track if enough teams don't decide to visit one or two of the tracks. I personally don't mind 15-20 car counts but when it gets barely two heats worth of cars or less. It does bother me when I could have went elsewhere and seen 30+

It was pointed out in someone else's post recently that there were over 300+ cars to run a feature in 2007 in Indiana and Less than 200 in 2012. Many of those not running many shows but what they could afford to get out to.

I commend KISS and the tracks for finding a way to put this on every year, I especially appreciate Haubstadts decision to run it on a Sunday on a Holiday weekend instead of diluting the Saturday night action. I appreciate Bloomington and Gas City working together not to run sprints against each other on KISS nights (Biggest car counts right there)

Other than Sprint Week and a few other shows, Every one of the KISS SHOWS is a reason for a local fan to go see the toher tracks and their racers compete with the best in the state.

Last Years KISS/MSCS show at THAT is one of my standout highlights from last year and I talk with so many people that never knew it was being held. It really was a great show and if you have Jackslash, you can still watch it but it still isn't the same as live. Had to loan my buddy JJ Hughes a jacket as he and some of his College friends dropped in to watch the show and it never got as warm as it was supposed to get. Great times

So what I get from this is Keith Ford wants everyone to cooperate with him when he runs KISS but he doesn't want to take 2 weeks off for LPS and the burg? I dont remember him taking the week off for the burg in the past. I may be wrong but I dont think so. Gas City and Bloomington have always worked together for "the greater good" hopefully the new regime at Bloomington continues that tradition

I never said that Danny, If you see it that way, thats fine but it is pretty hard for four tracks to take three weeks off or run replacement classes to accommodate the others vs two tracks taking one week off.

And I don't know why PVille wouldn't run a Thurs show that people would attempt to get to. Vs non points shows they tried to run several times last year. Im not Judging Spiker, I don't have a dime to lose over it. Again, like Sprint Week, He walked in to a situation already Messed up by D.A.

I think it would be nice to see the series try and hit every dirt track that runs sprints on a regular basis. I don't see why Paragon would have such a big deal about it since most of the guys that run paragon do not travel to other tracks or even run the KISS series. So its not like his car count would drop that much. Maybe I am bias as I pretty much call LPS my home track even though its not the closet to me. Just the most kid friendly IMO. Maybe KISS will get back there sometime in the future.

But every other track runs KISS on their regular night, why the special conditions?

On the upside, the website will soon be updated with the 2013 schedule.

On the downside, I will miss the picture of Simpson's Desire Burkle on there from this past season.
