The best, IMO, is to just keep it simple. Group qualifying with a heads up start. Then just do your best to make sure the crowd can hear how the qualifying turned out.

Group qualifying with an invert of 6 for the heats and 8 for the feature. Make the heat races 10 laps instead of the normal 8. Start the B main straight up and put the B main transfers on the tail. Reward the heat race transfers for racing their way into the feature.

And yes, we plan on being there again this year. Thanks to Mason for putting this together and also thanks to Tim to working with Mason to have this race.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

Qualifying with full invert for heats. Straight up for feature but only for transfers from the heats. B transfers tag the tail.

Waynesfield listened to the people last year & it was a fantastic show. Drop the #'s 2, 3 & 5 from the invert & make it 4, 6 or 8.

A six car invert is plenty for the heats and the feature. B-Main cars start behind Heat Race transfers.

Sounds good to me. Also if you are going to have group qualifying, then send them all out in a group, not group them and qualify one at a time. If you group them then qualify one at a time, you might as well just time trial them all one at a time, and line them up according to how they timed.

Do whatever I just want to see them race!! The only good thing about qualifying is if they do wheelies across the line!! As for the track Brownstown is a much better track than Twin cities. Now I know all about the water truck incident a couple of years ago I was there but move on. This is a great event to be a memorial to a great racer that died before we got to see how good he could really be. Lets have a safe and great race and not worry about what kind of qualifying or lack of is being done!! The Cream always rise anyway!!
