Dry sump is not needed run the correct amount of oil. Had r1's for years never had a problem

It's a Kawasaki thing Scott you just wouldn't understand. On some of the faster tracks we might belch a quart of oil in 20 laps, .

I ran R1s too... cheapest way to go racing (oxymoron?). You can even run the stock pan and pickup on them. I would get the adaptor that Hyper makes and put a real oil cooler on it though.

Kawasakis are the other extreme, when only considering money spent up front anyway...

Well i will add a cooler to the yamaha. and im assuming the suzuki it in the middle of the yamaha and kawasaki. It does not have a place to hook a cooler that i can see. The suzuki is in the car im going to drive. That car is on alcohol and the yamaha is on gas.

The Yamaha should be able to run 20 to 25 laps without the oil cooler. I would probably invest the cooler money on an alky convershion for it, not really that expensive. Much safer than gas and a little more ump off the turns.
