JJ is not the greatest Cup driver and average in the field but his 18 and the current 18 are not the same car
I disagree. JGR is a multi-car organization and the sponsorship funding for that car will affect all 3 cars. It's not like the money brought in from the 18 car ONLY goes to the 18 and so on with the others. They have more sponsors this year, but the only difference with that is, instead of Interstate paying for 36 races, they are paying for six. And Combos, M&M's, Pedigree and others split the costs. When it comes down to it, the grand total will be the same, just split between different organizations. So Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin only have one primary sponsor for the year (maybe one other for one race?), so why are they running up front when JJ ran in the back. I really doubt JD would ask for different dollar amounts from Home Depot then he would Fed Ex and Interstate when they're all on the car for the same amount of races.

And this is similar to Jamie McMurray too, he replaced Kurt Busch who was winning races frequently and a championship too, same 3-4 sponsors splitting the races, but Jamie hasn't gotten the job done at all other then Daytona in July.

I wish JJ would've stuck with open wheel cars.

You can't blame anyone for "taking the money", but at the same time he was offered the deal with Joe Gibbs racing a few years ago, he was also offered the ride in the Panther Racing #4 in the IRL. JMO, but I think JJ would definitely be one of the top stars in Indy Racing today had he took that ride.

Really, I just miss seeing him hike that left front up- lap after lap.

To all the people that think it doesn't have to do with the sponsor your are the idiots. Interstate wasn't putting up near as much money as m&ms mars candy company brands is! The 18 team since Labonte was struggling got turned into the R & D team for Joe Gibbs Racing and both Bobby Labonte and JJ suffered because of it. Just like JJ is suffering right now because HOF Racing is now the R & D team for Gibbs. To say that JJ is the caliber of driver as Kyle Busch...no there is no comparison in a taxi-cab but put Busch in a midget or sprinter up against JJ and JJ would hands down walk the dog on him everytime!

Compared to who? Remember this is a Triple Crown Champion you're talking about. There is not a person in the IRL that could wash J.J.'s dirty underware and I am not even a Yeley fan. So let me ask you this genious from down under, why can't any of your IRL guys get it done in NASCAR in better equipment than Yeley, I have always ignored your ididotic post but with this post you have showed how little you actually know!

Don't understand what I am talking about? Get a F****** Clue!

How is HOF a R&D Gibbs team, ITS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ORGANIZATION.

To say that would be like saying Yates is an R&D Roush, Petty is an R&D GEM, Haas is an R&D Hendrick. Maybe your the idiot.

All they do is get engines and bodies or whatever from the Gibbs guys but it is still ran by different people.

It is amazing how many excuses you in denial JJ fans can come up with for his poor results.

But to say he couldn't have done Indy Cars is totally idiotic. He never shifted a sprinter either.

I contend a good racer could adapt as did Andretti, Foyt, Parsons ect. ect. ect.
