Hahah no nothing like that at all !!

At the time, the guy in Iowa wanted like 7K for his street legal car. I went to Australia in 1994/95 not realizing the magnitude of the trip that I was getting myself into for just 2 1/2 weeks, and then again for 2 months the next trip in 1998/99. So if I had back every dollar that I spent on those 2 trips, plus my phone bill (way before the internet) that 7k would be kind of cheap by comparison.

Its only money though, and I have made more of it since then. All these years later every Australian that I have been friends with way back then, are still friends of mine today, and I've had several of them come stay at my house when they come to the USA for a visit.

You left the door open, it was just too good to pass up! I deal a lot with the Ausies, never yet had a deal go bad, they usually email me when they need something they can't find, and yes, good friends, started many years ago, used to have a network of them I talked to, back in the CB days, regular as the sun comes up.
