Not saying it was better than it is now. But yeah, the first couple of nights of ISW pre Usac had sever 50+ cars show up and only half a grandstand. I rememeber Hewit saying at Twin Cities the payout drops hard after third, So much so, He went out and won the thing in the NBC Steering.

That race Pletch won at THAT has to be one of the all time greatest underdog stories
