I must say this I am very mixed in my emotions.

First of all, congratulations Shane and the whole Contos Racing team on the win! I have been harassed by some folks from this board via PM's about how he is "just a dirt guy" and "didn't deserve a quality ride like he has". To those folks.... EAT YOUR WORDS!!!! I elected NOT to go to Anderson this evening mainly because the races I have seen him run of late he has flat had lousy luck. Kinda made me feel like I was bringing bad karma to the team, so Amber and I went to ORP. However, even though we had fun tonight we could not take our minds off of my buddy Cottle and how he was doing. THANKS DEVIN AND DANELLE for the updates! You 2 ROCK! Shane..... enjoy buddy because YOU DESERVE IT!!!!! Danelle, Chase, Courty.... be damn proud of your ole man! All of us ThrottleZoners, while never really retired, are damn proud! This team deserves it too.... they bust their tails night in and night out to keep it all going.... GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!

Second of all, this win, while flat FREAKING AWESOME, is overshadowed by the death of the track worker hit tonight. The entire Gilbert family passes along our condolences to this person's family. Godspeed,to ya...

This is gonna be a very popular victory I think.:thumb It's sort a "three for one" deal. First, Larry Contos finally gets a win after how many attemps? Plus, all the additional support of the race that he provided via title sponsorship over the years. Secondly, Curly and Tray are in on it as well, and third, Shane as the icing on the cake. I'm genuinely happy for them. Curly's gonna be hurtin' tomorrow though. He wrenched his ankle pretty bad on the last pit stop.

Don, nonsense like those PMs will only prove beyond a doubt that there are some real jerks on the internet. Shane and Danelle Cottle are absolutely two of the most pleasant people Kim and I see when we are lucky enough to be at race tracks. The Cottle family is a true asset to our kind of racing.
