Had 17 sprinters, One damaged rear end in hotlaps and Ligori stalled in heat and didn't return for Feature. Chase Briscoe pulled off after lap one yellow for Brady Short who took the hardest ride without flipping I ever seen and still restarted on the tail. He biked low bounced and the car did a end to end without going over. Im sure he bent something but to his credit restarted and finished around tenth.

BARN BURNNER, Thats all I can say. Moffatt took off to a early lead and was running over the cushion, Hupp, Miller, Fischesser Studley giving chase for the first ten or twelve laps. Westerfield starting deep was moving constantly forward.

I can't tell you what lapp Logan took the lead but Miller was impressive, Pressing him every lap and getting around Hupp on I think lap 14 which was cancelled out by a caution in turn two for a spin. at this point in the race there were at least four cars you could throw a blanket over. Hupp, Miller, Moffatt and Fischesser. Once Miller got by Hupp I thought it might be over but Logan putt it over the cushion and was getting runs and drove around Miller and pinned him behind a lapper down the front straight about lap 21.

I can't tell you the exact finish, but some of the best darn racing I've seen I think and don't get mad if Im wrong. Hupp, Miller, Westerfeld? Fischesser, Moffat and Studley? Im probably wrong but those guys were the players and all looked great at some point. Tough luck for Chase Briscoe and Brady Short, Just glad everyone ok and a safe, Incredible night of racing!

the Modifieds despite 16 cars also put on one heck of a heat two and feature. With a barn burner second heat of John weasel Rhoads and Broc Burtton swapping the lead several times. The feature was won by Groomer but almost shockingly, former track ROY Shawn Johnson shot from about a sixth starting position to second and actually passed Groomer at one point. Groomer, Johnson, Gilpin from tail.

Hornets had a wicked flip in which the car took about four snap rolls and the driver was cut out of car. Track said he was alert and talking but I hope hes ok. This is when i left. Getting cold.

SURE GLAD I DIDN"T MISS THIS ONE! GREAT RACING ALL NIGHT .

Thanks to Rudy and crew for working the track to keep it from going one groove. It worked out great! See you next week!

Thanks everyone who braved the cold and supported the sport we love soooo much. It was a reat night of racing, Chuck pretty much summed it all up.
BTW,The Hornet driver is doing ok, I stopped by the hospital on the way home and he was alert and talking to me for a while, his neck is sore, and has a headache, they was going to tranfer him to U.C. to check him out better there. But seems to me he was going to be ok. Send prayers his way.
Thanks, Dave
