Maybe I didn't see the intent of your post. I'm just so used to seeing that no matter what these tracks do, there is usually somebody there to find fault with it. We're lucky. Our local track has a guy putting money into it, to improve the facility and make the racing better. We know LPS is going to be around for years to come. A lot of fans at other tracks aren't so sure about the future of their place.

I think it gives a guy starting in the back of a heat race, who races his butt off just to get a transfer spot a better chance to improve a starting spot for the feature.
How about just making it multi groove in the heats like it usually is in the feature?

The things that I seen the times i've been there is way to many caution laps, seems like only one guy lining up cars. 2nd is take a long time clearing up a wreck if driver walks away hook and pull, other than that an offical can help the wrecker guys speed things up. When a sprint spins have a 4 wheeler to turn them around then push it off with push truck, last keep the concession stands open. Second to last race I was there they were closed up before intermission. Great racing other than that

I think the things you mentioned can be said for pretty much all the tracks. I like LPS now, I used to hate it. But raceivers is a must...most tracks have them now, and they speed up the entire program. Transponders aren't needed if you have a few GOOD scorers. Payout, in my opinion, is never balanced enough. Always top heavy. The wall being moved back isn't the issue...just make the wall taller. LPS is definitely much better than a few years ago, but you can always make things better. Never stop improving...it only makes everything better.

I'd say the wall is the problem. That concrete wall has junked 4 or 5 cars that I can think of last year. I don't see how a taller wall would do anything but block the fans view.

Spiker said on our show a few weeks ago that Racecievers are coming in 2012. Along with work above the gradstand and the track has been reworked coming of turn 4 to make the transition smoother.
Stewart said on our Rumble show that evrybody that likes to bI tch about a track should try running one. It's not opening the gates, racing and closing the gates. I takes a lot of work everywhere other that just the track surface top make a racetrack go. A lot of people do a lot of different things.
The Spiker's and crew have done a lot in a short time and look for more to come.

I just don't get the raceivers crap, if they can't get a message to a man on the track with a chalk board how are they gonna get to all the cars on the track. The chalk board always worked fine at Haubstadt or anywhere else I raced, its still takes a scorer to know the line up.

Still just something else a driver/owner has to buy to race.

As for the track itself I like it. Nothings ever gonna be perfect.

Due to the number of sanctioning bodies and tracks around the country that have already gone to the raceiver system, it is pretty obvious that it is a preferred and more efficient operating system.

Putnamville isn't a part of any other "sanctioning bodies" around the country, its a local track running a weekly racing program for the local and low budget racers.

What about all the other classes running? Should they all run em too? Whats the point of just the sprints running them? Their race is usually the most organized race anyway.

I understood from Joe on the show that it's an all class deal for racecievers. More and more are going to them weekly and special event tracks.
Only so many numbers fit on a board and normally hard to read too.
