I have raced against Jason on dirt and pavement. Raced wheel to wheel with him many times. I couldnt think of a more deserving driver!

It's never a surprise when Jason is honored with a fan-based award. He's among the very best at taking care of race fans, and he has a knack for making people feel comfortable when they visit with him at the race track. He's a helluva racer and he's a good man, and that's why he's earned the level of popularity he enjoys today.

How about a shout out to Terry Fitzwater and the folks at Midwest Racing Scene for giving race fans a chance to participate in the voting for this award. Anything we can do today to get more people engaged in our sport in a positive way is GREAT.

Hey I grew up watching Jason when he ran on the dirt a lot more than he does now, and don't have anything against him.

From the way this was posted (by the article) that it was a Must See deal. If it was a fan vote from a paper, then its legitimate as it needs to be.
