Those cars are capable of speeds in excess of 100mph. The bikes they come off of are regulated to a 200 mph speed limit in stock form by the factory. We like the little bull rings, but its fun every once in a while to strech your legs. Last year at Windy hollow speedway in Ky. they were clocked at 97+ mph on their long D shaped back straight. This will probably be a wing race. Our frame is an FSC midget frame and most other Mini Sprint frames also came from other midget mfgs and specs almost identical to midget frames. Midgets run at Eldora all the time and ever once in a while get in trouble and survive. In fact we are thinking about running a few races with midgets this year.

A track like this is made for big displacement big horsepower motors. Bill will have to be sure to bring his tec equipment with him to keep things on the up and up.

I talked with Bill this afternoon and the " Action Track " is also in the works.

Whats the knock on Bill and his series? He actually goes out and gets big name tracks like this, gets sponsorship, and even better, pays his point $$$

This summer, Tri City Speedway in Michigan had the Mid Michigan Mini Sprints run one night. I believe it is a 3/8 mile. They offered $100 to any driver in any class who could break the track record. One of the minis turned a lap just over 105. 12.8 I believe. That is the current track record.

I'd say our cars will be well over 100 at Eldora.

Not common (and off topic) for me to defend Jerry but it's been a rule for as long as we've been running with the AMSA.....it's in bold, red print in the rulebook.
