Grant didnt do anything to Smith...it was a car 3 laps down racing the leaders...for some reason...changed lines 4 times in one lap...booted Dustin off the track...Grant got by cleanly...how I saw it anyways
There is no way in hell a lapper is going to race the leaders on a track like that unless the setup magically appeared all of a sudden. Grant also hit Hendricks rear end coming out of 4 as they were getting the white flag, The kid started 4th was up to 2nd & stepped on it not once but twice & fell back to 5th. Lack of judgement coupled with being young could have been the culprit but the kid wanted to WIN THE JACK HEWITT CLASSIC.

That is how I felt about it too. Justin did crowd me a little, but if not for the lapped car changing lanes in the middle of the frontstretch and me having to get on the brakes hard to keep from slamming him or hitting the wall, then it wouldn't have happened. There was no contact between me and Justin, I am just frustrated with lapped cars changing lines while being lapped. What he did to Landon, well, I don't blame Landon for being upset. So, I will leave it at that.
I have to agree, Justin ran -through- Landon............
It would have been a sweet move to come inside of Hendricks -IF- Landon had not been there....ya' just can't make room for 3 cars, when there is only room for 2.
With that extra shot of water...courtesy of the 'sky sprinkler system', the track was go fast or go home. A lot of guys were going into 1 without lifting. The first 2 laps of the feature Grant was on the right front wheel -ONLY- at times, through 1
And Hendricks had the hot set up on his car...plus starting on the front row helps some. The only way anybody was going to win last night was to run the hell out of their car. Justin was doing that, but he chose the wrong time to make his move (and he was close to being out of time, they had just gotten the 2 to go sign). He had reeled Hendricks in by 3-4 car lenghts in the 2 laps prior to the incident with Landon.
Everybody there last night deserves a pat on the back, for putting on a great show, and 'gassin it up'!!
I'm sure you know already Taryn, but for those who weren't there......
T-Mez got upside down, and it was a while before they got him out of the car. It was reported that they were going to transport him to a hospital. He was loaded into the ambulance, (from what I could see from the stands...there was A LOT of people at the back of the ambulance) then after a few minutes, Gerry announced for everyone to look at the ambulance.....T-Mez was standing on the track behind the ambulance, waving to the stands to let people know he was alright! He then climbed back into the ambulance, and they went into the pits with him in the back.
If Grant would have not lost the positions after getting up to 2nd at start we would probably be talking about a different winner. Twice he got to high in 1 & 2 & fell back to 5th.
