Why don't they bump up the sprint purse for the IMW race so the Midget drivers bring their Sprint Cars? To me, that makes no sense. The track announcer begs the fans to stay for the stock car and Mini Sprint features because few fans want to see them. The Burg is turning into a Modified track and that is a sad fact. Their online schedule stinks. It's no wonder the car count is so low. There's no way for the teams to see the details on upcoming races until it's too late to plan for it. The Dick Gaines memorial used to be a big event but not now. And no, I do not know anything about any of the financial aspects of putting on big races. Just a fading fan.
To answer your questions:
we have more big money non winged sprint cars than any other track in the country!!
The winged sprint shows was great in the past, just not enough winged fans to support them.
The Midget week show cost alot of money and to add more money to the sprint purse would mean higher gate prices.
The Dick Gaines race is the same payout each year!! no the purse is not on the schedule yet, that was my mistake. which will be fixed.
The Budweiser UMP Modifieds do put on a great show!!
We only run 3 classes at our events, i am not a back gate promotor!!
The October MSCS/USAC Race is $10,000 to win.
so thinking back to our schedule so far..
MSCS was $3000 to win, the KISS race was $2500 to win, the USAC race rained out and rescheduled race was rained out, i believe it payed $5,000 to win. This weekend race pays $2500 to win.
Not very many have been leaving after the sprint features, because the racing in other classes have been great!! I apologize to you for not being able to watch other classes of cars entertain you. You are missing out!!
In the end i am very proud of what we offer at Lawrenceburg. I will not let a few of you complainers bother me one bit. I get emails daily, facebook post and people in person who love what we do.
I am always open to suggestions via email. Not on a message board.
my email is
rpmproductions@comcast.net
it is very clear to me that this is a attack from alot on here that support another track because we effect thier home track. I will not stoop to that level, and will continue to do what we do..........SELL FUN!!
Hope you all have a great weekend at the races wherever you go.
Sincerely, Dave Rudisell
