Since ride buying is getting to be common place in auto racing, has anyone ever considered that maybe The Donald bought this ride? AJ Foyt would be a great candidate but would he even fit in the pace car? With the girls in charge anything is possible.

Well If the man was funding something special in racing big then everyone would probably listen and not say a thing if he were into such a thing. As the world turns. So whats next. He is a man with an idea about turning the country around. Lets hope that its a better idea then the present. Maybe he will get big oil under control so the rest of the US can go racing and have a little fun. Or just a vacation would even be nice. Lets just hope that he is not like the rest of the looser ones we have now, who care less about whats going on in America.. JMO and JMO Only Jeff

Is this or is this not the first time in 100 years that a politician has bought the pace car ride? That's really all I'm wondering.

If he is so great at doing things why has he filed bankruptcy several times? Guess I should consider the source. Weren't you the one saying John Gurley was going to save sprint car racing? Mel Kenyon for pace car driver. By the way, I don't feel anybody doing reality TV should get this honor, including Ozzy or Gene Simmons.

Well, sir, I think it's because somebody wants to use a torque wrench on a political engine. Anybody here know how to use a torque wrench? LOL

I never once in any of my post said that Gurley was going to save sprint car racing. I did say give the man a chance. And the only time he was ever given a full field chance was at NV. and that went south after the fence went down. He paid the tow money from what I understand, and everyone wanted more even though their was no feature. You ask any promotor if they will give you more then the tow money and have no feature show and take a poll and give me the results. And the man being broke kept trying and to the final date never again had a full field. so always the track people cut and slashed the money. He as well as the rest of all of you and me want to make a dollar. It might of been different if he would of stuck with his original idea and stayed with a steel block series that paid better but who knows now.
And for the man driving the pace car, well he is no politican yet. Even being on the ticket he's still not one until he holds an office. Your right maybe it should be reserved for a man who has raced, but we don't own the IRL or IMS and I'm quite sure we never will. So in the end it will be up to the IMS decision makers. Jeff
Thanks for whom ever reads this message and agrees. I'm not trying to sh-- in anyones wheaties, I'm just stating the facts, as I know them, period. and for filing bankruptcy that really has nothing to do with anyones business but his; non of us walk on water, and I don't think that he claims to do so. Its the normal bring up every thing in the world, bad, good, or what ever to scrutinize every be ing that their is. Its human nature and worse in the political field. We have all had good days and bad days and those were some of his bad ones. Its that he is so far up on the money pole that its noticed. Millions of people have filed bankruptcy. An I'm sure millions more will.
