The last time I raced there, it was asphalt, it wasn't much better, no dust, but a challange to get around, musta had at least 3 elevation changes, and 5 turns, kinda out in the middle of 10th and Plum, very unusual to say the least. Bob:2:

I think Kamp is more of a LM track than for sprints, but what do I know. Even if they only run one OW race there, it's one more than we had before.
Kamps don't own it anymore, the bank has it and has for some time. It is in need of repair as expected from setting as it has. With some new clay and a heaping of TLC it could be back to a fantastic race track. When Kamp took over he spent a lot of money and time and resulted in an excellent race track. It is a Mini Eldora. When or why things went south is unclear. There are plenty of opinions around here (Lafayette area), but does it really matter.
Hopefully someone will buy it and maximize the great potential that exists. Plenty of rumors about a buyer, but No confirmation?
For was for sale on ebay for 1.4 million ..there was a bid on it...everyone said smoke bought it,,,gayle kamp said only time he was there was when he watched his late model team practice...
