My Sister lived in NC about 10 years ago, and on a visit down there I decided to find a Dirt Track, I will have to agree we are very spoiled here in Indiana.

I know what a good thing you folks have, that's why I try to come up there when ever I can. (which never is often enough :headbang)
So in the meantime I'm stuck in the land of "7 divisions usually over by 2 A.M.'' tracks.
Good article Danny.

PJ, that is the place. My wife and I were talking about that track this evening while out to dinner. Funny the things we remember. She did recall a bike race for the kids the night she was there.

There is a guy that posts on trackforum named Kevin who has moved from New Jersey to Washington State to South Carolina in the last 3-4 years. He, among others (DavidM), have visited here and echoed what others like you have said many times.

My parents used to tell me that while growing up in the Great Depression they didn't realize that they were so poor. Funny how sometimes we don't always realize how rich we are, either.:greenflag:

PJ hit it right on the head. I was announcing a race at Cherokee Speedway last year, and hot laps started at 10:15PM

The 3 hour rain delay didnt help things either. They dont care about curfews down that direction
