That's exactly how they do it in the U.S. too. You're penalized at the next yellow or the end of the race. The only time the yellow is brought out is unless they're going to give the front row another chance. N.Z. is 100% strict on their rules as well.

Loyett wasnt aware that P2 sets the pace, so he got caught out on that one.
Scott Buckley is the son of the promoter, its got to make him cringe when he gets a ruling in his favor (he is in a tough position there) and others dont.

The most important things at Western Springs are:
1. Noise - the problems haven gone away, Springs are just doing a better job of managing the situation at the moment.
2. Time - Springs cant run 1 min over cerfew (10:30pm) so - no heat race restarts if you stop for ANY reason; no yellow flags to correct ALL on track incidents as they happen as this also takes up time.
3. Racing


Its a sad sad state when racing ranks a poor 3rd at a race track.
