Another great night at Granite City. This place never dissappoints. If you haven't been there, it's time to go. It was a long night, but I'm not complaining at all. There are not many places I'd rather be than at a racetrack. 48 midgets and 28 sprints, high and low racing all night long, and a real battle between Hagen and Clausen. Good stuff. It was nice to meet a few of you guys. Dean Mills, Spridge, Jerry Shaw, and Dirtnonwingfan. Have a great time the rest of the weekend.
For those about to rock, we salute you.

To hear some grumpy people on this site ramble on aimlessly, you would have to assume that Midget cars are on their last leg. I would differ to say that, when you get 48 cars for an event, that that class is indeed not very sick at all. JMO

The Granite City race track has always been great, no matter who ran it or what it's name was at the time.
I remember some super CRA shoot out shows there.
Another was one of the greatest midget races i have ever seen, which I think Tom Bigelow won. A lot of good memories there.
The St. Louis and Illinois area guys always know how to put on good shows
There used to be a driver from nearby Wood River, IL named Larry Kirkpatrick who was always tough to beat.
I've never been disappointed there. If you have not been there, it is worth a trip. Plus, there are many things to see in St. Louis during the day and most are free or very reasonable.
