He tried to get it fixed for the feature. Took the push-off but headed straight for the pits.

I commend ASCT for trying topless sprint car racing in a late model area(KY). It's easy for the naysayers that only sit on the porch and rock to "I told you so" after the fact.
I'm sure if weather would have been more desirable the car count would have been up somewhat. ASCT at least gave it a shot there, which is more than most people would have done, so hats off to the group & all that showed up to race there!

I had some friends attend the race at Bardstown last night. From the looks of the size of the crowd in the stands, it looks like they had their choice of the BEST seats.....

Really - a 9 car show? Like I said previously, the ASCT will get my money.......ONCE!

Looks like a great track. Sorry I couldn't make it but I don't really want to travel that far either.

I wish ASCT all the best. They will get things going soon.

The true test of what this series can be will come in 2 weeks at Montpelier and Shadyhill. Those are tracks here in Indiana, in the middle of non-wing sprint car country. Montpelier actually has a promotor that will do everything possible to give this series a good track to race at, so in my opinion this will be the first truly good opportunity for the series to do well. They should be able to pull some of the regulars from Gas City and Kokomo. I know it's not the popular opinion here at the good ole' boys club, but I think the Montpelier race could be a really good one for both the sprints and midgets. I will hold my judgement until then, when I see the series in person at a place where they will have a legitimate chance to succeed.
