I just got home from my flight back and I wanted to say:

I sat next to an old timer who was very upset @ Kokomo. He was saying that the track is too wide and the cars are racing too much in the flat infield. Bitched all night long--I finally told him that I have been to 3 races there and each one had cars running high , low, middle, over, into,2 wide, 3 wide 4 wide, ect.. and its the best damn racing to watch. I flew out from Jersey just to see this great racing, and last night was no exception. Also told him that if he wanted to *****, come see a race at a Jersey dirt track where a reg. show costs $20. to get in.

KOKOMO Speedway, thanks for another great night of racing and Congrads to the 2b team on your win.

Me and my girl were the ones that sat behind your buddy you were arguing with!! We had a good time listning to you 2 go at it and i see both sides of what you both were saying! Good thing that last caution came out and it was a awsome last 2 laps as i dont think anyone complained about not being a good finish!!
Have to find out when you are coming out here for another race,we will set next to you anytime!!!!

There are plenty of us old timers who hate the place now. I live 3 minutes away and hardly ever go anymore. I used to live at the place. As far as I'm concerned they destroyed the track. It used to be a unique "drivers" track. Now it's just another generic "horsepower" bowl. I will admit they have spruced the place up some, but they should have used the money they spent on destroying the race track on new grandstands and restrooms. Oh well, it's their track now and they can do with it as they please and I'll spend my money at Terre Haute, Gas City or Putnamville.

It was nice meeting you and the little woman and yes I will let you bust my b***s anytime I am back there or Gas City. It was a good day/night in Kokomo. I might be out again sometime next year???

I guess the old man was a drunk.I used to race at the old track you wouldnt get home till 3a.m.It was like racing on a high school asphalt track that you would run aroound in gym. Drag race down the straightaways and slam on the brakes for the corners and hope you didnt get crashed.Its so much better racing and how can you ***** about the race last night.It was awesome.

not a drunk, but someone living in the past. We all do that sometimes. I even miss the races at the track I grew up at and that was a paved track. Wall Stadium NJ

That is true.You need to come to indiana sprint week.Its great.

Been to 3 (parts of) and yes, they are great.

And last year, I was @ THAT, Indy mile, Little 500, and ended up @ Kokomo. It was a good week then too.
