If you see ANYONE not using seats, come find me personally, I will rip them up and make sure you have a great seat.

Chris love watching the tin tops run here. You comment above, you will spend most of your day policing the stands. thats just how people are. It would be nice if the track would experiment with reserve tickets. Start with 1 area, and see how it goes. The only reason I will be at this race, got a buddy marking me a seat off. Other wise i would be out. I have to work Saturday morning and for the ticket price, I am not going to watch from row 1. The other option would be to add more seating. Don't take my comments as being negative, they are just my opinions. Keep bring theses guys back because they put on a heck of a show.

I am still trying to decide if it is Brownstown for the Icebreaker or DuQuoin for the PowrI show on Saturday night. What time would I have to get to Brownstown on Saturday to realistically get a decent seat? Chris, anyone?????????????????? Also, coolers still allowed to be brought in?

I was there last year in the pit area (I will be there this year also) and if I remember right the car count was 65 Late Models, 45 UMP Modifieds, 33 Super Stocks, & 24 Bombers. I say they might be higher this year. maybe 68-70 Late Models, 55-60 UMP Modifieds, 35-38 Super Stocks, & 27-30 Bombers that is my guess for a car count on Saturday.

Chris,

Thanks for the offer but unfortunately I was watching the Butler game and didn't see your post last night. We plan on leaving here around 11:30-Noon so I think we should be able to get a seat. Thanks again for the offer. Maybe we will see you there.

front-wheel drive 4 cylinder cars (I think some places let the 6 cylinders run, don't really know). Saturns, Hondas, etc.

Just got back from Brownstown. Owens dominated this evening setting fast time, winning the heat and walking away with the feature. It was Owens, Pearson, Bloomquist, Hartman and O'Neal I believe. A rather long evening with 61 late models, 70 something modifieds. 194 total cars in the four classes.

They ran the modified heat races first which I didn't understand. Track was rather rough in 1 & 2 and with that many cars its understandable. Huge crowd on hand and we enjoyed the show even if it wasn't a classic. Sometimes mudcabs can be fun to watch. Bring on the mortifieds!

As a side note, Brady Short was there in his modified. He didn't do very well as he went out early in his heat race. He didn't return as it seemed like he might be having fuel pick up problems. Don't know for sure but sorry to see him struggle.
