NAMARS was a nice little midget club formed years ago, basiclly in the beginning it was like a championship series of races. I believe Rich Vogler driving for Harry Turner was the first champion. It developed into a sanctioning body, Jack Calabrase had control for a while, then he got out and the people who took it over tried to get TOO big TOO fast and it died pretty quickly. The tie in here might be the fact that a group of guys have started not only a new sprint series from the ground up but now are taking on midgets without having sanctioned any races so far so the fear might be another NAMARS, too big, too fast......

So it shouldn't be called American Midget Car Tour but instead Indiana Midget Car Tour? There are 49 other states in America.

First post and you are already flaming. I think there is a rule about name calling so I will report you for that.

Secondly, if you are going to be calling your series American or a National series then live up to it and be that. If you are going to be a regional series then call it a regional series.

Let me get this right, you are going to report ME because you were the one the was being a smartass???? I don't see it.

UNITED STATES AUTO CLUB--- doesn't race in all 50 states.
WORLD of OUTLAWS---- doesn't race all over the world.
The list could go on and on.

How does this new series plan on fitting in 1200-1000cc lightning sprints?

Will we run with the full blown midgets or be a support class?

Thanks, Quantrill

No, you were reported for using a derogatory name and name calling. whether I am one of those or not isn't the reason you were reported (now for a second time). PWORi and UMARA are "national" midgets yet they race primarily in the midwest. Theoretically, they are not national series.

For clarification:

https://www.indianaopenwheel.com/rules.php

Rule #5: No personal attacks of any kind against a member, or group of members. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but if it gets out of hand and turns into a fight to get the biggest jab at the other person, then its gone too far.

Rule #10: Do not use profanity.

First off the the Non-wing Up-rights will run with the midgets. We welcome you guys. They (Up-rights) will have "NO" weight rule or tire rule. The full Midgets "WILL HAVE" both. Second of all we call our series the American Sprint Car Tour because thats what I wanted and we are proud to call it this. The same goes for the American Midget Car Tour and besides it follows a "THEME". I would hate to think that our name means more to you than than the concept that it represents. Thank you though for your interest.

Oh, to outsider. We are looking for sponsors to help us out with the Midgets maybe you would like to join us so that we can raise enough capital so that we can race in the other 49 states. Just a thought.

Hopefully this new American Midget Car Tour works out. Maybe a different alternative to racing with USAC. and give the guys with a small budget a decent payout. If the standard payout is $1,000 to win $200 to start & $100 guaranteed tow money; I think that could help the smaller teams because all the big teams with big budgets will likely be at the USAC race istead of the AMCT race. I hope more Indiana traks step up to give the AMCT a place to race. I think this new AMCT Midget series could work out in the long run.
